Claire Kincannon has worn many hats over the years. Her varied interests ranging from sports-junkie and news-nut to movies and live theatre, influenced her zigzagging career path. After graduating from the University of Michigan's College of Architecture and Design, she embarked on a career in Interior Architecture. Subsequently, she became a Radio Journalist & Theatre Critic. Two additional paths were influenced by community need. Academy Music provided the only source of training in stringed instruments and The Woodengate Confectionary/Café was the only place in her Virginia County to buy an ice cream cone. Claire Kincannon filled the void.
Living in Paris, France became the next catalyst to propel her into the world of books, thus . . . Dancingink Press was born. Her publishing company's logo is an ancient Chinese symbol used to describe the talents of one who draws and writes, one who plays with pen on paper. Voila! Claire has come full circle. After nearly a fifty-year hiatus, she has returned to her first love, applied art.
